It's easy to get to Kororareka Lodge.

By Car - Russell is an easy 3 1/2 hours drive north from Auckland via Whangarei, Kawakawa to Opua and cross the bay by vehicle ferry. This a continuous operation from Opua to Okiato with crossings every 15 mins (approx) throughout the day from 6.40am till 10pm. Once leaving the car ferry, you follow the road for another 9kms to Russell. Alternatively drive to Russell via the Coastal Road. Approx. 20 kms north of Whangarei turn right off S.H. 1 onto Old Russell Road. Signposted just after B.P Station.

By Coach - Regular coach services from Auckland serve the Bay of Islands. Tour operators also offer an exciting and varied range of tours.

By Sea - Passenger ferries cross from Paihia throughout the day and evening. The region is a boaties haven with excellent facilities available.  

By Air - Nearest airports are Whangarei, a one hour drive south of Russell; or Kerikeri, 40 mins to the north. Rental cars are available at both airports and there is a transfer coach service from Kerikeri to Paihia. We can also arrange to pick you up with prior notice needed.

Also the Kororareka Lodge provides the only Taxi service within Russell, so we can provide pick-up, drop-off or personal chauffered service as you require. Just let us know when you place your booking that you require transport arrangements and we'll take care of the rest.
